ILIP: ROBIN SCHIPHORST IS ILIP’S NEW AREA MANAGER FOR CENTRAL AND NORTHERN EUROPE
After the positive experience in the United Kingdom, the packaging company will have a direct sales presence in the European centre-north macro region
VALSAMOGGIA (Bologna) – 3rd July 2018 – ILIP is increasingly close to its clients, including at an international level. The Bologna based company, which is one of the main producers of thermoformed plastic packaging for fresh produce and fresh food, has appointed a new Area Sales Manager for DACH countries, as well as for Benelux, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe.
The new Area Manager is the Dutchman Robin Schiphorst: 49 years old, a degree in Economics and Business, and coming to ILIP after years of experience at top-level multinationals in the food packaging sector. “This new position,” said Schiphorst after his appointment, “is a challenge that I have accepted with great enthusiasm. I am happy to be able to put my experience at the service of a dynamic company like ILIP”.
With Robin Schiphorst’s appointment, ILIP continues the process of internationalising its direct sales network, which began in recent years with the appointment of a UK Area Manager. “The decision to have somebody located in the UK has proved to be a successful one, enabling us to be physically and culturally closer to clients and to react to market developments and trends faster”, said Roberto Zanichelli, ILIP’s Sales and Marketing Director. “That is why we are continuing to implement a strategy of direct presence, with professionals from areas that we consider strategic. We have chosen Robin and we are happy that he has joined us, because of his well-rounded profile and a rare skill set on the market. We can only thank him and wish him well in his work”.
As Area Sales Manager, Robin Schiphorst will deal with the consolidation and further development of ILIP’s market position in fruit and vegetable packaging.
