ILIP keeps an eye on AFRICA and the MIDDLE-EAST with MAC FRUIT ATTRACTION

At the Cairo trade show from 22 to 24 April, ILIP will be focusing on grapes, strawberries, stone fruits and pomegranates

BOLOGNA, 19 April 2017 – Africa, the Middle East and the Gulf countries are increasingly interesting markets for the world of produce, thanks to an increase in cultivated lands and in the volumes of products. For this reason, ILIP will be participating in Mac Fruit Attraction for the second year in a row, an international trade show organised by Cesena Fiera and Feria de Madrid, between 22 and 24 April in Cairo.

ILIP, one of the leading manufacturers of food packaging made of thermoformed plastic, will be at Pavilion 5, booth H4, presenting its entire range of solutions for the packaging of produce: from classic fruit nest trays to punnets and trays, and including its latest innovations, such as Life+, a packaging system that improves produce shelf life thanks to its Emap principle (Equilibrium modified atmosphere packaging) and to the interaction between container, active pad and laser-drilled film. ILIP’s Sales Manager for the area, Jalal El Khaliqi, will be at the stand.

“For us, Mac Fruit Attraction is a very important event, given the remarkable influx from Africa, Middle East and the Gulf countries, and also thanks to the presence of many European importers related to the Egyptian market”, comments Roberto Zanichelli, ILIP’s Marketing and Sales Director. “These are expanding markets, especially for some categories such as grapes, strawberries, stone fruits and pomegranates, that are closely connected to our most popular products.”

The Cairo event inaugurates a packed calendar of events and trade shows that ILIP will be attending throughout the spring. On 4 May, the company will be at the FPJ Live at the Belfry Hotel, in Birmingham. Between 4 and 10, Interpack at Messe Düsseldorf. Macfrut at Rimini, Italy, between 10 and 12, and then Düsseldorf again on 1 and 2 June for the European Tomato Forum.
