ILIP AT FRUIT ATTRACTION 2025: FOCUS ON BERRIES, T2T RECYCLING AND A SHOWCASE FOR HORTIPACK

The Bologna-based company heads to Madrid with sustainable and innovative solutions for fresh produce and the horticultural sector. New stand layout featuring a large screen dedicated to the tray to tray recycling process.

Valsamoggia (BO), 8 September 2025 – From 30 September to 2 October, ILIP will play a leading role at Fruit Attraction 2025 (Madrid, Stand B21 – Hall 9), presenting the latest innovations in packaging for fresh produce and reaffirming its commitment to sustainability and the circular economy.

Centre stage at the fair will be the AirWave range of R-PET punnets, designed for delicate fruits such as cherry tomatoes, grapes, berries, and cherries. This year the range has been expanded with new heights, adding greater versatility to the B40 formats (50, 60, 70 and 85 mm) and the B46 formats (40 and 60 mm). These protective punnets feature a specially designed base that provides excellent shock absorption during transport and in-store display, eliminating the need for micro-bubble or cellulose pads. Also highlighted will be the ‘standard’ range for berries, including heat-sealable R-PET punnets suitable for fully automated packing of berries, as well as R-PET punnets with lids or hinged lids. These solutions are designed to offer maximum protection for the most delicate fruits, extend shelf life and meet the requirements of international markets.

Completing the picture of sustainable innovation, ILIP’s stand will feature a large screen dedicated to the T2T R-PET® (tray to tray) process, a clear reflection of the company’s circular model. As part of the ILPA Group, ILIP manages every stage of the cycle in-house – from recycling through to the production of new packaging – ensuring quality, traceability and a reduced environmental impact.

There will also be a dedicated display for the HortiPack range – ILIP’s line of professional solutions for the horticultural sector, including propagation trays, carriers with inserts, pot holders and pots made from PS and recycled R-PET. With up to 90% recycled content and the possibility of being recycled at end of life, HortiPack R-PET products strike a balance between performance and sustainability, helping sector professionals reduce their environmental impact without compromising on functionality or efficiency.

“Fruit Attraction is a strategic opportunity for us to demonstrate not only the innovation behind our fresh produce solutions, but also our hands-on commitment to circularity”, says Gianluca Tamagnini, Business Unit Manager Fresh Produce Packaging and HortiPack. “With the AirWave range, we meet the need to protect and preserve soft fruit, while ensuring compliance with the standards of key international markets. HortiPack is designed for the horticultural world, bringing together performance and sustainability through the use of high recycled content and end-of-life recyclability. Finally, the T2T R-PET® process represents the clearest expression of our vision: to close the tray-to-tray recycling loop, by overseeing every step in-house and ensuring both quality and traceability. Our aim is to provide the market with solutions that bring together innovation, functionality and environmental responsibility, making a real contribution to reducing environmental impact and building consumer trust”.

The ILIP management team will be in Madrid from 30 September to 2 October 2025, at Stand B21 – Hall 9.
