Fresh Produce Packaging

In the complex and always demanding fruit and vegetables sector , ILIP has developed specialized production lines including fruit nest trays in Polypropylene (PP), punnets and trays in Polypropylene (PP), Polyethylene Tereftalato (PET), Polilattide (PLA), with the aim of matching pack profiles to the different features of various varieties of fruits and vegetables.
Each product line, has unique features to accommodate weight and volume of each single fruit and vegetable variety, in order to protect and promote the pack content at its very best. In every situation and for every need, ILIP are ready to discuss and propose global or customized solutions to meet the needs of the fruit and vegetable industry. Since in improving pack performance for manual and automatic production lines and logistical purposes.

Punnets:

The finished product meets the same high standard whether they are produced in PP, PET and PLA and are the pragmatic solution that ILIP has developed for good presentation and eco-compatibility of modern packaging.

The wide range of punnets offered enables the choice of more solutions to match,  the product that must be packed, with or without lid, or the possibility of a customized handle.

In order to give greater protection to Produce during transportation, a large proportion of the punnet range is offered, upon request, with bubble padding on the punnet bases for further protection.

In recent years, modern production & distribution methods undertaken have been equalled by the necessary in-house systems & equipment used in  to maintain the traceability of ILIP products in the fresh produce processing path.

Trays:

ILIP trays, produced in PP, PET and PLA, have been designed for a wide variety of fresh vegetables. Each ILIP tray size is available in various versions (bottom/side for suction cups, rounded/squared bottoms, internal/external ribs, different weights/colours), in order to meet the end-users’ specific packing requirements whether they be manual or for automatic packaging machinery (extensible, flow-pack, top sealable films, etc.); extensive care is taken at the design & development stages to guarantee a perfect operation with all main automatic de-nesting equipment (ILIP trays are tested and approved by the main automatic machinery producers).

Fruit nest trays:

The use of ILIP’s fruit nest trays  enhances both the safe protection of the fruit during transportion from pack-house to point-of-sale and the products’ display qualities whilst ‘on shelf’ in store. Taking care to continue the efforts made during cultivation, picking and processing of the fruit.
A wide range of dimensions (complying with the market standards), shapes (round fruits, pears, kiwis, melons) and colours (glossy or matt, even customized with the customer’s logo), makes our fruit nest trays suitable for the various needs in the packaging of fresh fruit.
