A Vertical Integration: From Bottles To Punnets
ILIP is the final step of I.L.P.A. r-PET vertical integration, and is among the very few company worldwide to manage the r-PET supply chain from post-consumer waste to thermoformed food packaging securing its origin and traceability.

• Washing, sorting, grinding post consumer waste
• Extruding r-PET flakes
• Thermoforming r-PET sheets

Our r-PET multiple-layer sheets are extruded with a 3-layer structure:  A – B – A
· A: virgin PET (FUNCTIONAL BARRIER)
· B: Recycled PET (approx. 80%)
· A: VIRGIN PET (FUNCTIONAL BARRIER)
THE USE OF r-PET INSTEAD OF VIRGIN PET RESULTS IN AN ENERGY REDUCTION OF 84%, AND A GREENHOUSE GAS REDUCTION OF 77%.
